Ep.110 A Treat For The Eyes And Nose (Kim - Floral Art)
Sunday Oct 04, 2020
Sunday Oct 04, 2020
(Kim - Floral Art)
In this episode, I had the honour to have Kim as my guest. She shared with me her interest in floral art as her hobby.
Living art can create beautiful masterpieces that doesn't only look good for the eyes, but also might smell very pleasant. Kim has transformed her floral art over the years to give that little Kim magical touch. She found interesting ways to include random items to the floral art the enhance the presentation of her work. She also gave a little tip that can be pretty helpful for those who might be interested in picking up this hobby. She said that dome flowers have shorter stems and a cool trick to make it longer while still feeding the flower, is to remove the stem and replace it with a wooden toothpick. The wooden tooth pick would absorb the water and carry it to the flower. For Kim, where there's a will there a way.

(Michael - Automation In Software Testing)
In this episode, I had the honour to have Michael as my guest. He shared with me his interest in automation in software testing as his hobby.
Michael stated that computers are dumb. By dumb he means that they will only do what you tell them to do so its very important that you code correctly in order to make the program run smoothly. It was because of his career that he learned about automation and then he ended up transforming it into his hobby as well. Automation and coding can be done through many languages and its up to you to determine which one will do the best job to complete your project. Michael enjoys using a language called Ruby.

The idea of publishing a book, might be daunting because it might be hard to figure out where to start. Luckily there's awesome, enthusiastic and humble people in the world like Anthony who wants to help you publish your book. Anthony believes that it's important that as long as we are alive on this earth that we should do out best to connect people together and he continuously does that.
While we were talking we both came up with an idea where Anthony could record himself reading his daughter's story and then share it with her many years later so she can keep coming back to it and listen to her father's voice.

Transformers, Gundams and other toy robots have been an iconic toy for multiple generations and the companies who create them continue to find cool ways to improve the designs. Tom even mentioned that There's a company in japan that is currently in the process of creating a life size Gundam that can piloted by a human. On top of that there's an other company building a new transformer toy what will be 3 meters tall. One of the coolest things about Transformers is the objects it transforms form. So my question to all, if you had the chance to create your own Transformer toy, what object would you choose for the transformation?

(June - Manga Dub Producer)
In this episode, I had the honour to have June as my guest. He shared with me his interest in being a manga dub producer as his hobby.
Anime dubbing has existed for multiple decades but there's a new kid on the block that brings fictional characters to life, that new kid is manga dubbing. June has a deep passion to add an audio world to still images. Now is much more than just slapping a voice over some words, June takes the time to organize an awesome cast that really pulls you into the story and even adds music and sounds effects. June suggested that if you enjoy mangas, you should give voice acting a try because all voices have the potential to be bring more life to any story. Since I have a deeper voice I'm going to practice a big beast.

(Jackson - Producer/Singer)
In this episode, I had the honour to have Jackson as my guest. He shared with me his interest in being producer/singer as his hobby.
Jackson grew up in a family that always enjoyed music whether creating it or teaching it which might have played a role in Jackson's interest in in becoming a producer and singer. A very important thing Jackson mentioned was that it doesn't matter which program you use, as long as you learn how to use it because the simplest program can make some of the best instrumentals. You don't have to be perfect when you start off, creating music is all about trial and error and trying to find the right groove that works for you.
